I recently did a trip along the coast of Maine and there were dozens of cheap lobster restaurants (1lobster=$20, 2lobsters=$30).
Are these kind of places also common in Cape Cod, or is it more expensive/upscale?

yes they are common in cape cod, they have a good mix of upscale restaurants as well as road-side stands along the way depending on where in the cape you are
